Sweden has fewer deaths per head of population than the UK and they haven't had an economy wrecking lockdown.
I can't find any reason to criticise the Swedish Governemnt over their handling of Coronavirus.

It will be 'interesting' to see Sweden's figures 3 or 4 weeks from now...
Well here we are 3 weeks on from this pair of posts.
And... https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
Sweden still has fewer deaths per head of population and fewer people diagnosed with Coronavirus per head of population than the UK. With Sweden not having had an economy wrecking lockdown whilst the UK has.
I still can't find any reason to criticise the Swedish Government's response to this virus.
Sweden brought in restrictions sooner than the UK where mass gatherings, such as Cheltenham, were taking place in the Middle of March costing thousands of lives. Sweden's figures do not look so good when compared with countries who went into lock down before we did.

I have evedence that the UK Government is putting pressure on the devolved administrations to follow their line about lifting the lockdown. This morning I received a letter from Civil Servie Pensions saying that my pension was miscalculated when I retired three years ago. The amount involved will be taken away from thnd Welsh Government and it is up to them if they claim it back off me. The letter seems to have been hastily put together as it does not contain detail and there is no mention of the amount involved. I have sent a copy of the letter to the Weleh Government for comments and advice. It smacks of a knee jerk reaction from Demonic Cummings to the divisions in the UK. I also understand that the Government plans to withold funding to councils in England who refuse to open schools.

Coronavirus: What's going wrong in Sweden's care homes?
"Care home residents account for nearly half of deaths linked to Covid-19 in Sweden. Some healthcare workers believe an institutional reluctance to admit patients to hospital is costing lives."
Wide-ranging security flaws have been flagged in the Covid-19 contact-tracing app being piloted in the Isle of Wight.
The security researchers involved have warned the problems pose risks to users' privacy and could be abused to prevent contagion alerts being sent.
GCHQ's National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) told the BBC it was already aware of most of the issues raised and is in the process of addressing them.
But the researchers suggest a more fundamental rethink is required.
Specifically, they call for new legal protections to prevent officials using the data for purposes other than identifying those at risk of being infected, or holding on to it indefinitely.
In addition, they suggest the NHS considers shifting from its current "centralised" model - where contact-matching happens on a computer server - to a "decentralised" version - where the matching instead happens on people's phones.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said on Monday a new law "is not needed because the Data Protection Act will do the job".

I know more about this now. Civil Service pensions were over paid by £22 million because of an error. Last year it was decided to write the amount off. The Government has now gone back on this, at least where the devolved administrations are concerned. This has happened when the devolved administrations have gone their own way in extending the lock down, coincidence . Of note is that the letter I received was dated before the Scottish Government made their anounced that it would go its own way. No other post has taken anything like this long to reach me since the lock down.
