My wife complained that she couldn't have a bath because there was an enormous spider in it. I suggested that if it was worrying her why didn't she just blindfold it.

Because there is no vacuum outside that bridge. There's just the somewhat smoggy air of a Los Angeles suburb.

If the Enterprise were real, all you'd need is a funnel shape at the back of the bridge and the mind boggling acceleration when going from orbit to warp speed would fling all dust and debris into the funnel.
All the crew would be flat as a piece of paper too.
