Slinger - you are brilliant. But if only it were so simple.

If you look at scientific fact it is not fact but a consensus opinion. Most research is published in "learned journals" where those skilled and experienced in that subject pass their opinion on the work. Sometimes it's wrong!

Yep, gets murkier and murkier but we need to work to something and we have what we have.

Use your ears folks and if it sounds good to you then it is good. Don't let anyone tell you different. If they disagree, walk away. otherwise a row will break out and that's not good for anyone.

Very few facts: only one that I can think of at the moment is that we will all die.

Too many forums/ "gurus" have a go about scientists because, as far as I can see, they don't understand the scientific process: A scientist will come up with a theory, backed up by research and observations . Theory is only considered to be good until a scientist/s come up with some some observations/experiments which challenge that theory, if observations don't match the theory then something is wrong.

Too many arseholes (not on this forum thankfully) are very keen to try to denigrate "science" without understanding how many of the basic items which we rely on would not be available without scientific process.

I had to look up obfuscation in the dictionary as the exact meaning of the word was unclear and obscure to me. :ugeek:

What chaos are you referring to, DQ? You haven't made it clear what you are driving at.

Ha! Absolute chaos when you can’t spell it right. Not a ValvesRus issue but it’s certainly down to you.

Everyone will be interested on your next response, if, of course, you have the balls.

Surely it's below the belt to start threads about individual forum members?
