Hearing Test

Having reached the big 60 last month I was eligeble for a free test. I passed with flying colours but the testing was only up to 8khz so I wonder how relevant it was. I was advised to have my ears syrynged and have made the arrangements. Wonder if this will be my cheapest ever hifi upgrade.

Did they advise you to use any ear drops to soften the earway before the syringing ?

My doctors don't syringe anymore, they use an ultrasonic device to dispel excess earwax.

I was advised to apply olive oil drops for a week before. The chemist did no have them in stock.

The olive oil is nothing special, have you any in the kitchen ?

Warm olive oil is preferable.

Asda do a tube of olive oil you can squirt it in your lug hole, works a treat. Once a week I was advised at Boots.
