I'm blessed with a faulty metabolism that means I feel hot most of the time and this weather is taking it's toll on me. I finally cracked today and bought an air conditioner which should be here tomorrow. There goes my hifi upgrade kitty ha!

A washing up bowl and a few £1 bags of ice from Tesco would have been a lot cheaper. you just stick your feet in the bowl

Ozzy Osbourne bought a tonne and a half of ice to put in his swimming pool. It only lowered the temperature by a few degrees.

People that actually pay to go to an unbearably sunny destination for the holidays must be utterly bonkerz imho.

Fed up with all this rain. Had a new patio laid last month and have hardly been out there. This morning capped it all. Was on the bus to town to meet up with friends to get a train to Chepstow races for a day out with a few beers. Then my mate phoned to say it had been abandoned. The course is water logged. At least the cricket world cup is on today, for now.

This wee corner of the UK seems to have it's own climate. During all this crap weather we've been pretty much fine. Can't remember if it was Tuesday or Wednesday now but one of those days I was getting sunburned while just 30 miles away they had torrential rain and flooding.

My little bit of Kent seems to have got away with most of it too. I haven't had to worry about getting sunburnt, although we have had a fair bit of sunshine, but neither have I needed to worry about floods, hail, thunderstorms, etc..
