Also it has been pointed out that it would likely take 18 months to organise another referendum by which time we will have left. Fewer people are now deluding themselves we won't leave but are now clinging to being half in which I don't think the EU are in favour off. I see project fear has been up and running again - as if there would be a sudden wall put up between UK and EU. Millenium bug comes to mind. I thought that was :hbs: and remember observing an ancient VHS from the early 80s only to watch it seamlessly change it's date to Jan 2000. How many billions wasted on that one?
Project fear as opposed to project Lies, deception and we haven’t got a clue what we are doing or - in reality - what is going to happen?

......and the UK Tory party / hidden hand of the monied elite reactionaries / right wing agitators are playing with the lives of normal hard working British citizens.....

Try as I might I can't raise any enthusiasm for this argument anymore. If it works out then that's fine, if it doesn't I'm sure there's a shady hammock with my name on it slung between two palm trees on a nice warm beach somewhere. Hopefully it'll be near a nice bar with chilled beer and waiter service to save me the trouble of getting up.

No deal is looking more and more likely. I can't see this getting through Parliament and rather than facing a Commons defeat and Cornyn coming to power a second referendum will be held.

What's wrong with Corbyn coming to power?

Stockholm syndrome has gotten hold.

I don't think CN was suggesting so - only that the Tory party would rather have a 2nd ref than lose power...

Correct. But I suspect some hard line Tory brexities would rather see Cornyn in power rather than remain in the EU.

Personally, I voted remain. AND I would rather see Corbyn in power.
I'm a Toryphobic and despise the Thacherite wing of the party.
Heath variety one nation Toryism I can just about live with. But Thatcherism and its supporters past and present should be strung from the nearest yardarm, as Blackbeard over on the Wam would say.

Problem is that alt right politics is on the rise and Corbyn is the last chance we have to stop it, so it's not gonna get stopped.
Our grandads fought two world wars against this right wing crap. They must be turning in their graves right now.

Anyway I'd better STFU

Politics gets me down these days.

Dennis Skinner for PM I say.

If you work for a living - especially if it involves trading with the EU in any way; if you have children; if you believe that the UK had prospered in the last 40 years; if you want to resist a shift to the right; if you want to resist even more power going to the hidden monied elite that rule the UK then you should care.

I would support a general election with voting age of 16.

The world needs some new ideas desperately
