When did you start safeguarding the young and vulnerable of your town? Or looking after the elderly?

Given the limited resources our local councils have I’m glad they are prioritising the above over recycling f’kin beer bottles.

We have bags for just about everything, a bag for plastic and tins a separate box for glass, a bag for paper and cardboard, and two bins for food (a small one for indoors and a larger one for outdoor storage with a locking top to prevent animal intervention) supplied with biodegradable plastic bags, then the main bin for everything else. I do get a bit fed up at times sorting it all out but on balance, the pain of doing it is outweighed by the benefits to the environment and cost saving the council seem to make from it all.
