Just back from doing a Christmas concert with my Chamber Music choir, another larger choir, an instrumental ensemble and a ridiculously good soprano soloist. Loads of Xmas repertoire with a big emphasis on Bach, Mozart & Handel.
Big church, packed out with an enthusiatic and appreciative audience - a good time was had by all !

Stu - haven't got around to 'Domino Theory' yet, but it has arrived. My main attraction to Weather Report was always the bassists Miroslav Vitous & the immortal Jaco. So the later stuff hasn't received the necessary attention. Have a copy of Zawinul's 'Dialects' lying around somewhere as well.

'Domino Theory' might be something to listen to this weekend! :grin: :guiness;

I'm still in 'getting settled into the new house' mode. My replacement driver for one of the Allison Sixes arrived yesterday, so the smell of Bison Kit will permeate the residence soon. New telly arrived from Richer Sounds a couple of days ago, so hopefully will get that plumbed in today.

Lots of double glazing quotes over the last two weeks ranging from £14,500 to £27,000 for pretty much the same thing. Needless to say the Everest man had bad things to say about the quality of other suppliers products. He was doing quite well until he came out with the 'this price is for today only' crap. Needless to say, they are not getting my business. I suspect the DG & HiFi industries have quite a lot in common when it comes to the rip-off slurping that goes on with shed loads of money going into marketing budgets and staff overheads with big companies when compared with the small guy. Perhaps there will be some cash left over for an NVA amp and/or new camera after all.

Ahhhhh, i miss the headache inducing fumes of bison kit :naughty:

May have to do some more glueing soon.

Moving house is a real pain in the arse. Hope you get back to normal soon.

Did some one mention a NVA amp ? What model ?

:lol: Currently listening to The Smiths on my CA CD5, AP20 + B&W CM1. Have to make do with the B&W until i get my doc mod MS902S finished off. I don't think upward firing driver will work in my kitchen diner as the speakers have to go up near the ceiling.

The little AP20 never fails to surprise. It is sounding fabulous even through these B&W - they only have coil on bass & single cap on tweeter.

The smiths - some jolly tunes for Christmas

Why is there always too much sauce in a can of baked beans ?

Because it costs less than the beans. Same with WAF speaker design :angry-fire:
