Yes. Amazon Fire tablet. I bought two for my children; 8" screen and drama free. Uses Android.

£100.

Think they may also offer a number of other models.

I am leaning towards the Amazon Fire. I use a tablet for the Internet and streaming Tidal through bluetooth via my second system in the bedroom and on holidays through a Bose speaker.

That use scenario will be fine with the Fire.

I've got a Yoga Tab3 with a 10.1" display and as Howard says, the battery life is brilliant. It also has a brilliant HD display and has a built-in hinged base that allows you to sit it on a desk and adjust the viewing angle to suit your purposes. To be honest, if you only want it for streaming then it probably exceeds your needs by quite a bit, and possibly your price point too, but it's definitely the best bog-standard tablet I've owned, and I've had a few, mostly Samsungs.

I have a Linx tablet which runs Windows 10, it isn't bad but obviously suffers all the disadvantages of Windows, meaning it takes a while to wake up. I only use it for car manuals so I can't comment on it for anything else.

My first experiment was a Nexus 7, which died on me earlier this year. I've since replaced the motherboard and it works again for what little we need it for (iPlayer mostly plus a little net surfing), but while researching the repair, it was suggested that one of the suitable Amazon Kindle family (with Android?) would be a great replacement as it seems they WANT you to stay as customers and there's no quibble regarding premature (at least) replacements should one be needed I was told. I know little else, so some research would be needed.
