Absolutely marvelous stuff - upgrade your interfaces just by plugging a different cable in!USB Type C—also known simply as USB-C—uses reversible connectors that can be plugged in any way round. Combined with the USB 3.1 standard, that makes it easy to enjoy far higher bandwidths (up to 10 Gbps), more power, and faster charging.
Black Box offers a full complement of these new cables, with USB-C 3.1 on the one side and USB 2.0 or 3.0 on the other side (covering Types A, B, B Mini, and B Micro). All your existing USB devices can thus be “upgraded” to the new, faster, more powerful standard.

Actually a UBB 2 device connected to a USB 3 port may be slightly faster than when connected to a USB 2 port and a USB 3 device connected to a USB 2 port also appears faster than when using a USB 2 device but in neither case is the data transfer as fast as USB 3 to USB 3.
