Hi Doc,
I found this Number Plate on the car we bought my Stepson.
And I thought it was good I can now say I am advertising NVA.

Re: My Stepson new car
I see them often. It seems groups of letters are given to areas first registered, NVA is a SE, I think Essex one. Now NVA 1 or 1 NVA would be worth having I suppose, but it is not my type of trip. One of my sisters has ADL 1B (adlib) and he husband ORN 8 (ornate). They are worth a lot more now that they paid for them back in the 1970's.

Re: My Stepson new car
We got it for Sam for his graduation at St Andrews, Crikey the insurance on a 23yr Old is criminal, and with a KY post code.
So he will be driving it in Scotland and spreading the NVA word cool,

NVA - North Vietnamese Army.
56 - It's 56 years since the start of the Vietnam War.
EK - EK Commando Knife Co, USA
Are we really supposed to think that this is all just a coincidence?

Re: My Stepson new car
If it's a turbo diesel, just remind him to idle the engine for 30 seconds before switching off, or for a couple of minutes if after a long run, steep climb etc. The oil still needs to flow for a bit through the turbo to allow it to cool down. My Citroen Xsara Picasso 2.0hdi did 166,000 miles before we passed it on to my mechanic as a runabout and there was never a problem with the turbo.

Re: My Stepson new car
Hi Simon Thanks no it a 1400 Petrol SX nice clean engine I had the idle wheel/pulley change and fan belt all else looks good, it now has no whine and pull like my twin turbo diesel C4 special did, now I have a C4 seven seat so I can get the wheel chair in with ease. Plus nephew and niece, and grand kin. It has only done 250 miles the SX has done 60K miles.Simon Hickie wrote:If it's a turbo diesel, just remind him to idle the engine for 30 seconds before switching off, or for a couple of minutes if after a long run, steep climb etc. The oil still needs to flow for a bit through the turbo to allow it to cool down. Much better: no dual mass flywheel to go bang either! I miss my 2.0hdi Picasso. A C4 grand Pic is on the radar, but the CMax and Nissan Elgrand will do for now.Colin Wonfor wrote:1400 Petrol
