Fighting the Nazis was a good and necessary thing to do.
Interestingly though, we declared war on them not because they were about to invade Britain itself (the Nazis were 1000 miles away in Poland), nor simply because their ideology was abhorrent (that was not yet fully apparent), but because by invading Poland the Nazis had encroached into, and were killing people in our wider community (democratic Europe).

I don't know if this should be here or on AOS thread? But Marco and his middle class euro loving lefty cohorts are at it again on the general election thread. Referencing some stupid campaign to overturn article 50. Also the usual barrage against Nigel Farage. Now why does that twat Macca stay there? Frankly he would be more at home here as he basically shares my views on Brexit and Corbyn etc. Judging by the present politics a large explosion would be a good thing and save on wasting millions restoring the houses of Parliament. I'm sure the Guy Fawkes traditions still carried on are partly out of a real fear these days. It's funny we have to suck up to Muslims while anti Catholic practices still persist. Something worth thinking about in are supposed fair and open society.
