A 14 year old Jeep Cherokee makes a lot of sense if you don't do a lot of miles per year / don't mind the fuel bills. Only 4 speeds on the gearbox? That's a bit old fashioned. But then as long as it's not revving too high at 70 mph in the UK or 80 mph on European motorways it's not important.
Enjoy it for the luxury bus that it is and laugh at all the idiots that paid 10 to 50 times as much for their cars.
There will be times when you will park it, look round and realise that you have the nicest and the cheapest car in the car park.
Edit: just checked. 3.7l Cherokee 2200 rpm @ 70. Gearbox is fine for motorway cruising.
