Labour Party Stupidity

Unread post by Dr Bunsen Honeydew »

Why are we faced with nondescript pillocks to challenge Corbin when there is Hilary Benn. Does anyone know why he is not standing as it makes no sense to me.

Hopefully he's seasick from imagining his father spinning in his grave because of his behaviour.

Sons are never like fathers, at least he is a Labour MP. He strikes me as a pragmatist, and that is what is needed not misplaced failed idealism.

A MUSE

Corbyn gets re-elected as leader of the Labour party. There is no healing of wounds. At least 50 MPs resign the Labour whip and act as an independent force in Parliament. There is discussion of a new SDP, as history is repeating itself (a Labour Party disease). But hopefully a merger with the Lib Dems at which point before the next election Hilary Benn becomes leader of the new grouping. In the election the new grouping holds the balance of power with far more MPs than in the last coalition. Labour will be out of the game as Corbyn will prove no one can work with his extremes, so a new Lib / Con coalition of more equals. Proportional representation will be voted in at last and we can have grown up politics for a change, like the rest of Europe.

Wishful thinking
