Sorry but I am coming to the conclusion that a general war between Islam and The West (secular / christian) is now inevitable. Turkey will be the key to this. There is too much division, too much bad feeling. There will be an anti Muslim backlash in France and Germany, again it can't be stopped it is public sentiment, being orchestrated by extreme Islam because they want it. For them the greatest achievement in life is to die while killing us.

Race and religion will become the great new killing fields, in USA with the black population, in Europe with all the Muslims we have let in and especially the converts who are the nutters and misfits in society.

Well I won't be here to see the worst of it thank goodness, as it will now build up to the inevitable conclusion. BUT with all of these things once the war has been fought to a conclusion (note I don't say won) then perhaps the world can progress again and race and religion will be consigned to the stupidity of history with future generations looking on it and shaking their heads in amazement at how daft we were, like us looking back on the middle ages, this is just a hiccup in human destiny.

Sorry Fretty, you still seem to think the EU and all its Brussels :Bllocks: is important - it isn't. What is important in this is NATO. Turkey was put into NATO in the cold war to help contain Russia and communism at the insistence of the USA, with many European NATO members like Greece and France against it. The US will live to regret this.

Will the USA step in? They seem to find Turkey to be an important strategic ally in the middle-east.

50 years is a gnats fart in terms of history. The last 50 years can be seen clearly as the ground and divisions being created. Understanding the history and seeing the present will show you the future, it is inevitable. The next 50 years *at some time* will see the culmination and point at which sanity breaks for a while. Which could be another 50 years before a new sanity emerges. Good luck to all the kids we leave behind to live with our mistakes and stupidity.
