Well one good thing about last night is that Turkey can now never become a member of Europe, it is a Middle Eastern Muslim nation and that is now there for all to see. Perhaps the Greeks have been right all along. Ataturk will be turning in his grave as we watch Erdoğan become the new Sultan and Caliph of Turkish Islam and destroy everything the old hero of the Turks created.

Yes indeed.....Ataturk was a visionary who wished to and succeeded (to some degree) in bringing Turkey into the 20th Century.

I can't understand why Turkey should be allow'd in EU. It's geographlogy more close to midle east or asia...

It is a long explanation, and is controversial due to the on going and historic relationship with Greece. Read about Ataturk he was an interesting man, he modeled the new Turkey after the 1st world war on the European Republican democracies. If all Muslims were like Ataturk we could live in peace and harmony with them - but...........
