I assume most on here would class hi-fi or listening to music as a hobby but what else do you get up to in your spare time? What are your other hobbies?
For me mountain biking is one of my main hobbies along with sailing and hiking. I think its good to have hobbies that get me out the house and into the great outdoors!
what else do you do?

Re: what else do you do?
Due to family considerations my Hi-Fi is very much my second hobby. When I'm not working I like to be out riding this:
Certainly not the fastest, most powerful or even best handling bike out there but surely one of the most beautiful, (and it's still way better than I am ! ). She's not looking bad for a 20 year old.

Lovely bike zebbo. I've always wanted a speed triple but have never got round to getting a motorbike licence. I guess all the horror stories have put me off. Much respect to you for getting out there on two wheels!

Re: what else do you do?
Cheers jimbob. I only did my direct access in 1999, when I got divorced. I'd never been on a bike in my life before that. I think if I'd got one when I was 18 I wouldn't be here now. It's supercar performance for pushbike money, £1500 would buy you my bike!

I play bass in a 90s Britpop tribute band and when not listening to the hifi take a lot of pleasure in gardening .
I've recently taken an interest in building cigar box guitars for my inner bluesman and always on the lookout for bits of junk I can attach strings to.

Re: what else do you do?
Music takes up a lot of my hobby time - singing in a Classical chamber choir is something I really enjoy, playing bass and electric cello (only for fun).
Also: cooking, playing with my cats, taking long walks and exploring the Dutch countryside.

I'm practising Krav Maga. Great sport but hard to learn. Atleast for me it is.

I did a bit of Krav Maga a few years ago. Very effective but hard work. Also spent ten years doing Shotokan Karate and am toying with the idea of learning Gracie Jiu Jitsu. My daughter does it and loves it.Firebug1 wrote:I'm practising Krav Maga. Great sport but hard to learn. Atleast for me it is.
