As a cat-lover I can condone warning & scaring them off (and yes, a sharp painfull blow is very effective), but not anything that will injure or incapacitate. No cruelty, please.

Maybe a catapault is a bit too much.I use a spring operated BB gun,wont hurt a cat,but will make them run for it if you whack one on the fence just by them.I know it won't hurt them cause i tested it on the wife while she was bending over planting something.I did get a rather ugly look thou',cured with a large glass of wine.. :whistle: :lol:

The cheapest way is throw a few stones at them of course, they do get the message.

They are not stupid, my next doors cat sees me and comes running over to be stroked, that black and white monster sees me out on the street and it turns and runs. They recognise different humans very easily.
