Nope...

The thread just evolved as it tends so to do here.

That's what makes it so much fun.... Plus I learn something every once in a while.

No offence meant DQ. Apologies if necessary.

In this digital age there must be the possibility for direct politics. A political channel or website where were can vote directly for or against laws. All you need then is an executive and a civil service, which we could vote in or out to keep under control. Or is that too much democracy.

I think we should shrink the working week to 4 days and everyone should have to do one day a week democratic services . governmental national service if you like .

Additionally ,all laws not mentioned in a manifesto must be put to electronic referendum .

Farage as President of the New British Republic, withdrawal from the EU, closing of all borders to immigrants and a return to real British values.

The last person who got that far was Oliver Cromwell.

I'm listening to Question Time now.

It's a reminder that I don't agree with the vast majority of politicians and members of the audience of this show.
It's all just emotional, knee jerk statements with a huge lack of logic and common sense.

But then maybe, politically speaking, I'm a throwback to Britain in the 18th century, minus the slavery and female repression and one or 2 other things...
