So the story goes, Dorries is to receive an honour in his resignation honours list (although why he is allowed one I do not know) so she goes to the Lords and then he gets parachuted into her ultra-safe seat of Mid Bedfordshire, with the ultimate aim of running for leader again in the future.

A.N. Other then gets stuck with Uxbridge and South Ruislip.

Check out this article about his "resignation honours list," by the way. It's typical of the corrupt twatbucket.
If Labour win the next election, which he wants, it is quite possible he will loose his current seat. I think this has more to it than conspiracy theory speculation. He is an ego maniac completely devoid of any principles. He does not give a monkeys for the country (Brexit) or even his own party.

I hope you are wrong about Mid Bedfordshire, I think my neighbours in Uxbridge and South Ruislip will be happy to see the back of him but they deserve a decent replacement. Not that I have a clue who that might be. I’d rather like Dominic Greave back to replace the party puppet we have now. Greave at least listened, this one has simply repeated the party line. In my opinion MPs should vote conscience first, constituency second and party third.

Why would you think an increase in government spending is damaging?
Try telling that to the pre war Germans when the Reichsmark went tits up.

What crippled Germany (and the Reichsmark) was the requirement to pay huge war reparations in foreign currency (gold). You can print your own currency but not others (especially, gold). Germany was hit with the double whammy of large amounts of hard currency leaving the country and a dramatic fall in production (mostly due to France limiting Germany's access to natural resources from the Rhine). Printing money in such a scenario usually leads to hyperinflation (as there is not enough to buy). If post WW1 governments had understood the impact on Germany of being forced to make very high reparation payments in gold, then they could have thought twice about imposing such damaging currency pressures (and probably avoided a second world war).

However, when Hitler's government spent large amounts on re-arming, it was to the benefit of the whole economy and Germany came out of depression much faster than most other countries. We could do something similar, today, with government spending on green technologies and a national programme of insulating homes. And, there are other productivity boosting activities such as improving transport links for workers.

Regrettably, re-arming is looking to be a possibility.
