Even though "circumstances can change and wise people can re-evaluate their viewpoint."
Yes. 30 years is enough time to reflect. :)

1) So, at face value, the 1970s referendum on the same question is our answer and the 2016 referendum should not have happened?

I've always thought that getting into "the common market" in Europe was a good idea, but being part of a "European state" is not what a lot of people wanted.

Anyway, a lot can happen over 30 years. ;)

The destination (our future trading arrangements) will be 'a lot' of impact on the next 30 years - and none of us have been asked that question.

I wonder how many women might be tempted to vote Labour because of this ?

"Labour has promised compensation to more than three million women who lost out on years of state pension payments when their retirement age was raised, if it wins the general election.

Shadow chancellor John McDonnell said the pledge would settle a "debt of honour" to women born in the 1950s.

Those expecting to retire at 60 were told they would have to wait years longer when changes to the state pension age were accelerated in 2010.

Labour said its promise may cost £58bn."

They, and their families, one might imagine...

Equally bad are those who make up their mind and never change it, circumstances can change and wise people can re-evaluate their viewpoint.
So you agree that we should have a second referendum then?
A second referendum would have been far more appropriate than an election. The reason there is not a referendum is because the result would almost certainly be remain. The Brexshiteers have far more chance of getting it throgh with an election because of the Corbyn factor.j

may cost £58bn
Odd how when it's giving money to English people in England its "cost", but when its giving money to faceless international corporations its "investing in Britain".

Early indications are a 10% swing towards the Conservatives.

90 minutes after voting has closed, the score is Labor 2, Conservatives 1.

If this were a football match, Labour would win - unless the Conservatives could score in extra time. :epopc:

The worst Labour result for almost a century. The people voted for Brexit, they haven't wavered.
