I couldn't give a monkeys about the whole show!
Should be even more boring when it is expanded to 48 teams next time.
More meaningless games from very poor teams. Bring on Outer Mongolia v Surinam or Burkino Faso v Tonga!
And VAR is supposed to help - just ask Harry Kane!
Complete farce

At least if Russia wins no one will need to be "eliminated".

Fair point - the only one decent album - hence the avatar!
As a man with odd shaped balls I fear that professional rugby union will go the same way - but that's another story.

In Colombia they shoot footballers who disappoint them...

Thought they might have raised their game since!

My great love is cricket - I'm talking 5 day tests - but now we are getting a 100 ball pyjama party

In Russia it is people who disappoint / upset Putin.
I wonder if the person who cocked up the Salisbury assassination attempt has been shot yet or is in a Siberian Gulag. Putin = the new Stalin.

I am not completely averse to Football having a loose affiliation to Sunderland AFC - married to a Makem.
It will be interesting to see what the Black Cats can do next season!
Starting from scratch with hopefully local talent is the only way to go.
Perhaps you agree Savvy - or are the Mags or Smoggies your team?
Cricket without the pj's also the way to go!

I'm originally from Essex, so Sarfend United are my top team. They are 'sleeping minnows' and if they ever reach their true potential then they could be, erm...quite small. I try to get to the 'oop North' away games and pop down there to see mates a few times each season.
I do go to watch Sunderland, for about the last 15 years. The supporters bus picks us up from outside our local, once they think we are drunk enough to endure it.
One of my lads lives in Boro, so he shouts for the Smoggies and I occasionally accompany him (usually when he can't afford to buy a ticket
).
