Has HFS lost its mojo.

Unread post by Dr Bunsen Honeydew »

Seeing as the PFM thread has been closed and binned by TonyL I thought we would have some navel gazing fun for a change.

In my opinion. - Well I keep looking for a mojo but I think we are worse then them, we never had one in the first place. Though I must admit to being a little confused as to what it is. Google says it is a talisman to do with witchcraft, so unless Bev gave us one before she left (I can assure you she didn't give me one - fnar, fnar  ) I can't think of any other way we could have acquired one. Or can you get one like an on-line virus by opening a post or downloading some porn.

Have fun

Mojo /ˈmoʊdʒoʊ/, in the African-American folk belief called hoodoo, is an amulet consisting of a flannel bag containing one or more magical items. It is a "prayer in a bag," or a spell that can be carried with or on the host's body.

Alternative American names for the mojo bag include hand, mojo hand, conjure hand, lucky hand, conjure bag, trick bag, root bag, toby, jomo, and gris-gris bag.[

I KEEP MA MOJO IN MA SPORAN. :character-willie:

I think the world should be seriously frightened by what you keep in your sporan Jammy. If the Americans knew about it they would probably be planning air strikes

Moving away from the original meaning of mojo, other than to say that if you were a West African who had been captured, sold as a slave, sold on to traders, transported to the other side of the world and forced to live in a totally alien environment, you would probably understand why you wanted some, and moving to the spirit of the question as originated on PFM, which I would paraphrase as 'serendipitous success', I'd agree with the Doc, we've never had any.

Whatever success we have had in a) allowing members to voice their opinions about their hi-fi or others they've heard without fear of personal attack and b) in pointing out areas opinion is suppressed and there are efforts to influence members' opinion to the commercial benefit of a few people has come as the result of considerable effort and not a little anguish.

I just saw our mojo running across the computer screen so I tried to catch it, but it bit my finger and told me to sod off
