Re: what do you do?
Its been an odd journey. In 1991 I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Business degree. In 1994 I went to work in a paper mill to raise a family. Money and benefits were excellent, and I did it as a summer job. Worked 20 years there and hated it. Wife got the chance to take a promotion with Washington State, but we would have to move to the capital. So we chose her job over mine, and I walked away from it. In 1999 I had fallen 16 feet at work, and busted my wrists up badly, and arthritis has set in. So that makes blue collar jobs not well suited for me anymore. These days I am taking classes for a medical coding and billing certificate, which will update my skills and refresh my business degree. With any luck I can create a new career path for the 15 or so years I got left till retirement.
