Alps are very nice, indeed. What I loved in Scotland were mountains and sea (ocean) at same place, which is not common. (except Corsica... with a bit more sun). Sea birds, dolphins, squales, puffins, ... Great views. And so wild. Alps are not that wild except summits.

If you want mountains coming out of the sea go to Capetown, stunning. And the food is loooovly.

Hi Daniel, you missed out teachers.

I worked for ICI as a research chemist until I got bored with continual "rationalisation" of the business (threat of redundancy).

Retrained as a Science teacher twenty odd years ago, and now find myself responsible for all the ills of this country regardless of which party is in power :violin:

I am a agriculturalist/horticulturalist.

No pen pushing here (well as little as possible) and if i do say so myself my body is a temple. So many of my peers and old school friends have turned to lard since they reached the big four zero. Once talented sports people now a tub of lard blaming it all on modern life. Well, get yourself a real job and get off your fat moaning backsides.

I am retired

However, before this I was a university lecturer (business information systems) for 20 years preceded by 10 years in industry and secondary level teacher a couple of years before that.

Theoretically I'm semi-retired but haven't been able to work for over a year now due to health issues.
