I can't find anything about that, but then I find HFWW a pain in the arse to navigate and I don't go there often.

Please can you provide link, alter?

Thanks

No wonder I could not find it. Went out for the afternoon got back and could not see anything. Their members must notice the friendlier, more open culture they are having to put up with. Be interesting if more traders go. If their trade goes down like private sales why pay to stay

Got an email yesterday offering £5 off to become a super wammer (offer for this weekend only). Wupeeeedoooo. Only £15 now.

I don't think so. Smells of desperation.

Not desperation yet more a well thought out commercial strategy. These people know what they are doing, money, money, money it's a rich mans world. Have you been tempted by the MASSIVE list of 4000 vinyl titles? If you were a super wammer then you get an extra 10% off. Just wait for the megastore, carefully thought out to milk our loyal, gullible members.

Check out the 4000+ vinyl titles, just what you have been looking for. Abba, Al Stewart and look at those prices, how can you resist.

I wonder if many of the evicted members who were forgiven and invited back have rushed back?

New members get a cordial welcome see the latest http://hifiwigwam.com/forum/profile/115 ... tar-beard/ who didn't bother to post anything and went

Now a'days offers of 5% or 10% are largely ignored. Look at TV the new promo number is 50%. The trick being you make sure you have massive profit margins built in so you can offer it. We all pay the same price in real terms in the end, bargains as advertised like this are largely illusion. New Wigwam is just an advert these days.

Memberships - first we had Wammer, then we had Super Wammer, then we had Super Wammer Plus, now we are going to get VIP (coming soon).

So when does credibility run out. Super Dooper VIP Wammer Plus, gold or platinum membership card, access all areas Scalford, normal Wammers restricted to trade rooms  with free beer and pie token.

New competition, win a day with Duvet showing how the great man controls the forum, 2nd prize two days with Duvet.

Creating several levels is a well known marketing ploy.

You are encouraged to think that you ought to be on at least the second level up (who wants to be the lowest form of life in the club, after all?), and you can convince yourself you're doing well to be 'only' paying £x a month compared to £xx a month.

And all this will help you to forget that you used not to pay anything.

The next thing? Meagre 'Wammers' will start paying £x a month after a 'free' 30 day trial...

They are selling "cheap" vinyl albums which cost less on Amazon. Three examples I have picked at random:-

Metallica - Master of puppets: SpamWam £13.79, Amazon £13.44
Metallica - Hardwired: SpamWam £24.95, Amazon, £18.73
Bon Jovi - Keep the Faith: Spamwam £20.39, Amazon, £12.49
I set a course just east of Lyra
And northwest of Pegasus
Flew into the light of Deneb
Sailed across the Milky Way

NVA BMU, Sonore microRendu/McRU PS, AQ J-bug, Wirewold Ultraviolet, Chord Qutest, NVA P50SA, NVA A80sMk2, NVA Cube 3s, NVA LS6, NVA TIS mk2. Rega Planar 3, Denon DL-110, NVA Phono 1, NVA SSP Mk2, Grado SR 325e, headphones, Chord Mojo.

Second system
Arcam Miniblink Bluetooth DAC, Marantz pm 5004, Wharfdale Diamond 121, NVA LS2.

Out and about
Oppo PM3, Audioquest Dragonfly Red.
