ANOTHER SPAM JOB DEVELOPING USING SHILLS

This thread https://theartofsound.net/forum/showthr ... arch-fuses (you will probably have to copy and paste in a new window) is promoting illegal products so both the sellers, the users, and the forum for allowing the promotion, are breaking the law.

The law is BS1362 and the trading standards need to be made aware of this thread.

It is so basic there are British Standards that are held up by law. Where as the Cadmium thing is EU law. We are the only ones daft enough to use ring mains so we need overload plug fuses. For safety BS1362 is written for the standard of these fuses and must be printed on the fuse. We don't know if the Synergystic fuses meet the standard as they wont tell us how they are built, we don't even know if they actually blow, but at £120 a time that would be a real piss off. BUT they are illegal simply because they do not have BS1362 printed on them and they refuse to do it.

There are many slurpers out there taking advantage of this bullshit. The really stooopid thing about this is if you have a radial circuit feeding your hi-fi then you don't need fuses in plugs same as with most of the rest of the world.

Lets see what Jabba and the Verger and has to say about this voice of reason in the fuse thread:
A fuse is a safety device, but if a fuse doesn’t meet the requirements of BS1362, there’s a chance it won’t be very safe at all.

Its an embarrassment of a thread which has now been hijacked by Village Idiot Mad Mike discussing ferrets on his cables

Thing I find still - ONE ferrite on the master mains lead 'may' have an effect, but subsequent ones make increasingly smaller if naff-all difference. OCD types like me use many, one at least per smps supply and most mains leads as years ago when living in Lu'on (sniff), I used to clearly hear a difference, but you know, today, someone could come in, remove all of them and I doubt I'd even notice ;)

7 minutes in, faint praise but it did surprise him how different the presentation was, he calls it refreshing. If he had them at home he would be having a musical shower
