Bill ward

Well you might say who is that. Its the drummer out of Black Sabbath. Very underated imo. He knew John Henry Bonham before they both got famous. Thing is sometimes a certain musician suits a band better than a technically superior one (Bonham). Put Bonham or Paice in tnat band then it wouldn't have happened.

Just goes to show that what is important is the chemistry between band members not their actual technical ability. Just look at the Beatles. Case closed.

Very much agree about chemistry within a band. In the case of the Beatles it came about because of all the lengthy sessions in Hamburg performing cover versions. Led Zep were different, two established session musicians recruiting two very talented individuals from the thriving Midlands local scene.

Bill Ward had a jazzy style which blendid well with Iommi's bludgering guitar.
