Wild thing/fom home by the Troggs - second hand from "David's book shop" in Letchworth when I was about ten years old. Didn't even have a record player at home. By the time I bought a stereo, I had lost the single so never listened to it.

First album (which I did listen to); Steve Howe, Beginnings - must have a listen, getting on for forty years since I have had it out :-?

Thinking even further back in time. I received a radio/cassette player for a birthday (11 or 12 years old) and Woolworths had racks of Classical cassettes for next to nothing. So my pocket money went on discovering the Great Works like Tchaikovsky's '1812', Vivaldi 'Four Seasons', Beethoven's '5th', Holst 'Planets' etc.. This was years before I was introduced to the murky world of progressive rock.

And I had a tape of 'Evita' (original studio version) which I played to death.

The Who - Join Together 1972. Cost 45p which for a 10 year old was a lot of money back then. Wish I still had it, great single.
