Yeah, but why are you bringing those bands up here?
Have nothing to do with your subject.
...
I think what you are basically asking is the last lp to sound 70s prog - and NOT neo-sound. Correct.
You would have to stipulate whether its a well-known lp/band, or lesser-known. (Cos there were lotta lesser-known bands releasing 70s-sound prog well into the 80s.

Re: The End of Prog
You also have to take into consideration entire countries that were on prog-delay, not releasing prog lps till , say, '78 or '79. This was because of repressive totalitarian regimes. Think Spain or sattelite countris.

Re: The End of Prog
Solaris - Marsbeli Kronikak '84
Bacamarte - depois do fim '83
Pablo del Entrador -same '83
Kenso - II '82
You can find prog bands continuing the 70s-sound for every year of '80s & '90s.
That is why this thread is a no-starter.
Prog never died.
(And its a fallacy that punk killed prog. Thats wot them who look through inverted, confining lenses WISH were true.
Prog just went thru a sleeper period, like all music genres do.
Matter of fact, it took something like 10 years for prog to go sleepy-by. What of punk? Two years at most.)

Re: The End of Prog
I agree that prog never died. When punk came around it got less media coverage, except of a negative nature. Sales of albums and concert tickets provide a true picture. Music journalism went down hill in the late 70s, as did hifi journalism.
