As an estimate, of the 2300 albums I have as file based music that fall into a broad category of popular music 60% are performed and often written by none white musicians.

Looking at the broad range of 'ethnic' music - I do have quite a collection of modern Turkish music - there are some superb singers and instrumentalists there. Turkey is a huge country with influences from Arabic, Slavic and Asian sounds.

Lots of Motown, Atlantic soul/RnB, classic jazz and blues. Probably about 5%, because a large proportion of my music collection is classical.

Alright then: I DO abhor the vast majority of music coming out of Africa. But China too and Latin America (but not South America & Mexico cos there was a period when these countries made good hard/psych/prog.). Anything made by nomadic peoples is shit to my ears also - that alone encompases lotta races.

And, while we are at it, who is to say Blind chile is not BLACK? Is it strange for , say a Ukrainian or Latvian , to hate his own country's history of music ?

I am a bigot for fucking PARTY music - that includes lotta races from salsa races down to, yes, African. (But there is some King Sunny Ade-wotsit that I can stomach.

I enjoy the music that comes out of India and the Balkans, but I generally hate "music" that is tribal. Does that make me a racist?

It is EVEN questionable to label me a MUSICAL racist.

Simply put: the standards I espouse in my choice of music are the sole reason why my collectro is less than 1% black. Not the colour.
Coltrane, miles Davis,Grant green (he IS black, isn't he?) do NOTHING for me.
And, on the other end of the totem, black party pop and much, much worse yet....brrrrr...I don't want to even think of that SHIT.

You can retreat to the comforting fantasy that I am a racist.

Tell you wot: I will even help you along that road: I hate "the Jeffersons" and basically all black/Jewish television.

Is Joe a racist cos he listens to mainly classical music.

Ahh no. But I am cos I listen to prog, right?
