Not much of a cinema goer but had to see this. Thoroughly recommended, although a lot of liberties are taken with the chronology for dramatic effect. A big bonus was a decent sound system in the packed cinema. A must for Queen fans.

I like it when 'Freddie' turns the volume down by reducing the fine speed control on the Garrard 401 (M75-ED, so period)... Later manager has an STD deck I think, shown only from the front, Sansui top preamp (I think) and unknown black speakers which looked larger than kans, but I could be wrong. Mind you, the Kenny Everett character plays the single on a Techie deck three or more years in advance of 1975 and I think history tells it was actually a tape... I enjoyed the film too, but agree that many liberties were taken.

The involvement of Brian May and Roger Taylor was the deciding factor in me seeing it. My wife really enjoyed it and said the Roger Taylor character used to be in Eastenders. She had wondered where he had got to.

Gwilym Lee, who plays Brian May, was in 'Midsomer Murders' as the sidekick DS Charlie Nelson to the second DCI Barnaby.

Hope to see the Queen movie at the earliest opportunity.
