They are one of my favourite bands and when in Dublin over the weekend I had to visit the Rock n Roll museum. Was not disappointed. Phil's mum who is doing well at 88 has donated a lot of stuff and I could not get over the size of the mixing desk. The tour included a recording studio and the party were handed an analogue master tape from days gone by. It was big and heavy and it came as a shock when we were informed that it could only hold three tracks. The guide spoke of pre digital days and said that many artists preferred the sound because of all the distortions which were kinder on the ear.
Of course I had my photo taken next to the statue of Phil in a near by street.

Re: Thin Lizzy
My intro to Thin Lizzy was via a cover band at the local pub- them, Richard Thompson and Tom Waits
Thin Lizzy has stood out the most though- will give the “museum” a visit next time

Re: Thin Lizzy
You don't get too many covers band who do Lizzy, Richard Thompson, and Tom Waits They sound like a good band.
Live and Dangerous, a great live album but just how live is long the subject of debate
