They were Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, Barrett Martin of Screaming Trees und John Saunders of the Walkabouts (died at the end of the nineties). Nice lp!

I hope you could recover a bit over the night. Is the artist English and a 'Sir' meanwhile?

Recovering gradually. Anybody considering going to Corsica - the overnight ferries are horrible unless you have a cabin.

Album - I fear this one is too easy.

answer is yes on both clues.

I never was to Corsica, but I guess it's the same everywhere with the ferries. So I try to resolve:
Elton John - Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy

Too easy. Next time it'll be something obscure ...

Image

Elton might have become something of a cartoon character later on, but for a while he made some really solid, quality albums and the best of the bunch just has to be 'Captain Fantastic'. With Bernie Taupin's vivid storytelling lyricism this album is a series of songs about their career up to the beginnings of stardom and the pitfalls of success. There was only one single 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight' which is a jarring tale of EJ's attempted suicide after a relationship went sour. Also classics like 'Bitter Fingers' (about writing songs for others to order), '(Gotta Get a) Meal Ticket' (greedy managers and agents) and 'Tower of Babel'(uninterested Record Companies).

If you only ever listen to one Elton John album - make it this one.

Elton John - Captain Fantastic & Brown Dirt Cowboy
Elton John - Tower of Babel
Elton John - Bitter Fingers
Elton John - Someone Saved My Life Tonight

I agree! Next one is well known rock, too. Ask, if you like to!
