What do you do when you have no band?

Simple - go to a disco and ask two schoolgirls dancing there if they want to join your group.

The fact that they had no singing experience and needed to combine a tour and recording an LP with taking their 'A' levels did pose a few problems though.

Classic album. Utterly brilliant!
(stop sniggering at the back there!)

First album to extensively utilise the popular LinnDrum machine and a triumph for producer Martin Rushent. He argued with the band during work on the follow-up 'Hysteria' which resulted in him walking out and never working as a producer again. Taking a dark little song by Phil Oakey, he turned it into the monster-hit 'Don't You Want Me Baby?', the band hated his treatment of it at first.

All together now: "Doan chu wannmee baybee ...."

I was almost embarrassed to admit I knew that one.

Psych-pop (Another silly label)
Band and album title are the same.
Just like last time the album cover is quartered.
The same cartoon in each quadrant but in different colours.
The band's name is in each quadrant, in a different font.
They're not the band of the same name whose first single was banned by the BBC.
A Studio-only band, who only released this one album.
