Comedy records.

Your faves and THE SHITS.

....

Unbelievable that for one year in the 70s the biggest-selling US lp was not rock, but fucking BOB NEWHART. That shit is unlistenable. And his tv series was equally dross.

Firesign Theatre and National lampoon lps are deffo an acquired taste.
I generally do not like.
"Radio Diner" & " Lemmings" are the best of the bunch
..............
The silly Goons lps I REALLY tried to get into -because I got a couple UK press lps for free - but no way.As much as I like Sellers , this is clean rubbish

...........................
A big seller in UK - I suppose cos you see the lp everywhere - is Tony Hancock "The Blood Donor".Side-long tracks. I think the other side was "the Ham Radio Enthusiast" or summart loikes . Boring as all Heaven. Hate to say it cos Hancock was brilliant in my second favorite movie ever - "The Wrong Box".

.......
Two Ronnies lp wasn't bad.

.....
Vivian Stanshal "Sir Henry at Rawlinson End" A stone-cold classic

............

Howerd lp is rather disappointing, but his tv series and Up Pompeii were excellent

Flanders & Swann, specifically 'At The Drop of (Another) Hat', recorded live in the early 1960s.

'The job of satire, it has been said, is to strip away the thin veneer of civilisation, to reveal the naked truth that lies beneath. Our job, as we see it, is to very gently replace that veneer'.
