I , of course, had that Clotho's Web lp. I really wanted to like it cos - as you stated - the beautiful art, but Felix herself is boring as Rudy on Snakeoil forum.

Back to the O/P.. Karns decided to keep the King Crimson 30th Anniversary Editions over the 40th Anniversary jobbies.

The 40th anniversary sets include the 30th anniversary mixes as well, in better quality mastering and with 24-bit hi-res copies on the DVD's.

DVDs i dont play. why is it the people that put these set out assume that we have a DVD player in our systems? i dont even use a DVD player period.

Your computer probably does read DVD's and the 40th Ann. KC sets have music files on them that can be ripped to HDD. If you are planning to go to streaming your music in-home then the 24bit/96Khz versions will sound considerably better than the 16bit/41Khz CD edition.

And the KC 30th Ann CDs are all HDCD encoded which means that they sound dull and lifeless on normal CD players.

Nop i have a HDCD Decoder.. Dont sound dull at all.

I know your trying to help.. You may have noticed i use a Roland 'Rubix 22' I use that with Ableton DAW. I can rip my music into 24 Bit 48, 96 or192kHz if i want.
