Don’t bother re ripping, just convert to WAV if you want to, you will end up with the same wav file.Having to re-rip my favourites to WAV as FLAC just doesn't sound right anymore.

You will end up with the same file as if you ripped it directly to WAV. In most cases it will have been ripped to WAV and then converted to FLAC by the ripping software. We did some tests on Audio Talk between the resultant files from ripping the same CD with different software. Once you removed the slightly different length silence at the front and end of the file the results were numerically identical, i.e. identical.
