Looked thru your music collection to realise the majority of it is rubbish & why the hell you keep them? I had another big CD sort out the other day, amazing how much crap i actually waste space keeping.. Gonna be a radical change with me this week, already doing it with the stereo

Sometimes what you are not currently enjoying, you end up liking again later. Be careful not to end up making costly mistakes.

I've been through that more than once. Kicked myself for dumping albums that I later either couldn't get hold of or cost a pretty penny to obtain.

I find myself listening more & more to common garden prog ie: YES, ELP, GENESIS ill admit im getting very lazy, no concentration, shortage of time these days.. I dunno.i do hate hoarding for no reason & always chop collections down when they get to big, some people need big collections around them, odd behaviour but im the reverse, small but carefully selected is my thang.. Listening to 'topographic Oceans' now, I never had much time for this album, i never thought it was bad at all, infact i think those who slate it are in no way YES fans, it is without a doubt brilliant regardless of what grumpy thought back then.

Yes, some of those collections that run into many thousands of records seem a bit pointless. I'd stick them in the loft though.

Solved my storage problems by ripping all of my CDs. Took me a couple of years but well worth it. Everything is now at my finger tips via the phone.
I think Topographic Oceans is a good album. Played it not long ago.

Im working on a WAV File source now. They will be stored anyway. Its just the huge collection i dont even listen to that irritates me, pig ugly seeng rows of jewel cases on a shelf cluttering the place

I'm glad that I have boxes of 'rejected' Cd's in the attic. Every couple of months I'll be digging something out that hasn't been played in years.

Having to re-rip my favourites to WAV as FLAC just doesn't sound right anymore.

I think people choose FLAC cos its less space than WAV.
