Where you get that ridiculous notion from?

Even if were so, here is irrefutable proof that IT JUST IS NOT SO:

Trust me, very damn few bona fide Prog Mastermen ARE EVEN POSTING ON THE INTERNET.

IT'S THE PROG/PSYCH MAFIA. A CLOSED INNER SANCTUUM. A CADRE OF DICKS.

There is a reason those top prog bands are called the big six. Very few of any of the others come close and most of the albums we have never heard of will be second rate garbage. If they had been any good we would know about them. Just my opinion of course.

That is the noobs' point of view, NIGEL, and I except it as such.

However if you are not a wee fishy ,the ocean is massive.

Go to a site like Rate Your Music or - even better cos its prog - Gnosis, and you will be surprized at the CONSISTENCY of high ratings given to obscure bands.

I don't class myself as a noob really. I loved those big bands. From the time I was thirteen, back in the mid-seventies. I've actually touched Keith Emerson's bottom! How prog is that?

Any prog bands ever worked 'llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch' into a song title?
