List 5 bands/artists lps which were cornerstone turning point in the musical spectrum. Lps which totally changed the direction of things. Pioneering Lps where all roads lead back to them.

I am maintaining that the LATEST of these lps would have to be "Autobahn" . Kraftwerk's (third?) lp is the direct influence on at least 5 genres - synthpop/new wave, industrial, hip-fucking-hop....... (CAN also: Czukay was doing sampling long beefwhore anyone else - if you discount a Stockhausen or two)

So, other than Autobahn, here are my three:

Black Sabbath - same

Dylan - Bringing it all back Home

Donovan - sunshine superman

Beatles - revolver

Okay, Hawkwind - doremi fasol latido also. (Or was this their 3rd release? Anyways - the second release.)

The Damned's single, New Rose. Acknowledged as the first UK punk single.
Pet Sounds - The Beach Boys. According to McCartney the album that pushed them to record Sgt. Pepper... It also influenced a shed load of mixed pop and rock genres.

For the start of bluesROCK in UK it has to be Graham Bond & Alexis Korner. But I cannot think of a specific lp.

(And then John Mayall & Bluesbreakers.)
