Would it be possible to create an area to "share" audio files as well? I have literally hundreds of CDs but maybe swapping/posting them about is not the most efficient way of sharing?

Unfortunately sharing audio files via the forum is highly illegal and the forum would be responsible in the eyes of the law. If you wish to contact each other privately then there's nothing we can do about that.

I've no wish to do anything illegal but I would have thought sharing/swapping CDs was in many ways just the same as sharing audio files!? Anyway - you're certainly right to err on the side of caution. Thanks.

A CD is a singular object , sell it and the object moves on , it is not copied . You purchase the cd , you haver the right to listen to it and sell it , you do not have the right to copy it . This is not the case with fileshare .

Having said that I recently purchased a remixed 180 grm vinyl edition of Peter Gabriels Us , it comes with a free high quality digital download that I do not want , anybody want it ? Is that legal
