Sorry to hear that Doc...
Jethro Tull's aqualung was my first album! Probably when i was 16...
After that i bought Thick as a Brick. When I play either of them on vinyl I always notice how good they sound.
They still work for me...

I have always loved their album 'Broadsword & the Beast'. Excellent IMHO. Have never listened to any of their other stuff though.

They are indeed a class act, seen them live a few times...... :dance:

You gotta luv a 6ft tall, old hippie, who still retains the ability to play locomotive breath in its entirety on flute, whilst standing on one leg......

I don't think he is 6' and although born in Scotland I believe he was brought up in Blackpool from about the age of 5yrs, good otherwise his lyrics might have been similar to your posts Jammy. :lol: :lol: :lol: Anyway loved em since I was 13 or 14 and first saw them at Sheffield on the 'Thick as a Brick' tour supported by 'Tir Na Nog' (remember them?) Great days for me and seen them over 60 times since. I was lucky enough to see one of only two 'Passion Play' concerts in the uk at Wembley Arena supported by Robin Trower, mentioned on this site before.

I've got A Passion Play which oddly I like I also have Aqualung on MFSL vinyl which I never got into I think I will play that again to see
