Any newcomer to Classical Music should also have a listen to Vivaldi. Start with 'The Four Seasons' (just avoid Nigel Kennedy).
and:
Holst 'The Planets' is another 'pop' classic.
Try and listen to as many different styles (e.g: orchestral, vocal, chamber) and periods (e.g: Baroque, Romantic, Renaissance) as you can - you'll soon get an idea of what you like and can investigate further. Streaming services make this incredibly easy nowadays and will usually prompt you with choices that are related/similar.
You don't need to go for spectific recordings until you really want to investigate a composer more deeply. Open your mind and ears and enjoy!
