Fans of Virgin-era TD should enjoy the discs released by Danish trio Navigator. Especially the album 'Airwaves' which combines powerful sequencing, psychedelic guitar workouts and Phaedra-style soundscapes.

Picking up some of the CD's from Ian Boddy's DIN label. Like this:

Parallel Worlds & Self Oscillate - 'World Adapter'

Image

Strange ambient/glitch sound which is simultaneously unsettling and relaxing. Overall this constructs a quite melodic sonic universe that draws you in and provides some surprises and entertainment.

Excellent crystal-clear recording and production from this Greek/German duo.

Lovers of 'Big Moog' and all things analogue a la early 70's Tangerine Dream just have to try the releases of synth supergroup Node.

I enjoyed the Navigator track Fretless.
Navigator put out 3 albums, the first called 'Northern Consequences', and the 2 above. Their sound developed into a rockier version of TD around 'Force Majeure' - loads of guitar and sequencer workouts The core duo have also released a series of more ambient albums under the name Timescape (not heard any of that, yet).

In heavy-duty EM collector mode at the moment and have discovered several new (for me) artists.
'Node 2' is just in! Bargain price from Dodax. :dance: :music-listening:

Not as keen on Node 2, but I have some Ian Boddy winging its way to me courtesy of the Din Records site.

Can't stop playing 'Node Live' - it's great! :dance:

Having just found the DIN music site I have downloaded Ian Boddy's first properly-released album 'The Climb' which I had on LP (remember them?) when it first came out in 1983. To my delight, the downloads via Bandcamp come in a wide selection of formats like MP3 and FLAC - and also pristine WAV! Which sounds absolutely superb.
Boddy's double-live 'Altair' is next on my list, along with any ARC albums that I don't already have. :grin: :guiness;

Just scored a 2nd-hand CD of this - reputed to be RMI's finest. Shoved it into my laptop for ripping and got severe read-errors.
When I took it out for cleaning I discovered that the disc is signed by all 3 band members.
Made my day !

After cleaning, the CD ripped fine - if anyone cares. 8-)
