Earliest musical memories

Unread post by terrybooth »

As I sit here listening to the Teletubbies album ( yes, honest- there's a reason), I'm wondering about early musical memories. WhWhagot you into music. For me it was probably the 'Elizabethan Serenade' or the use of Rossini for the Lone Ranger theme. For many it could well be Teletubbies -finely crafted music imho.

So. Early musical memories please. (And anyone doing the tit joke will be instantly disqualified, so don't)

It has to be my Mum playing the Piano all the time, and also funny stuff like the Muppets, Sesame Street etc.

More good music, I must dig out my copy of Kermit unplugged. I'll add to my early memories the Billy Cotton Bandshow. Not so sure about the music bit though, I usually heard it from another room.

My earliest memory was sitting underneath my grandfathers piano with my mother pounding out a tune that was resonating through my whole body.I think I was about 5 or 6 yrs old.

Well that's one way of getting your music visceral. What's it now -big bass speakers?
