I grew up on a diet of Spider-Man, X-Men, Avengers, Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Doctor Strange and The Hulk comics in the 70's. And always look out for Stan Lee's cameo appearances in the Marvel films.

Doctor Strange was always my favourite character, and Marvel Comics beat DC hands down. Marvel had, and still has in the movies, that wry sense of humour that elevated it above DC. I'll miss Stan's cameos too.

Not forgetting Performance. I will always remember him for The man who fell to Earth. I worshipped Bowie at the time and got in to see it although I was not eighteen and did not look it. Still think it is a great film.

Did you know that both C.S. Lewis and Aldous Huxley died on the day Kennedy was assasinated?

It kind of rings a bell. I think there was a few famous deaths on the same day a more news worthy death occurred. I think it can be Googled, which doesn't mean it's true mind!

Pete Shelley - that's a shock.
The Buzzcocks 'Spiral Scratch EP' was one of the first singles I ever bought.
End of an era. RIP.
