Marcus Miiller 'Renaissance'

Managed to score a copy after a rave recommendation from Slinger (of this parish).

Bit funky, bit jazzy, bit mellow, bit rocky and totally get-down groovy. Also it is amazingly well-recorded and a masterclass in bass-playing.

Go for it.
I listened to this on Amazon music last night. It's good but too much of a bass wankfest for my liking. I didn't think I would ever say that cos I love funky bass playing but this guy sticks out like a sore thumb. Too much playing for himself .

Sorry.

For Bass-freaks only, I fear.

Steve Hackett 'Time Lapse'

Live album recorded during 2 separate tours in 81 and 91, the first of which I saw him on. Good memories of that show.
Great playing from top-notch band(s), a lot of early-period classic numbers and a nice, clear, dynamic recording as well.

Recommended for Hackett fans.

Bon Jovi - 2020
Some topical songs and it was good to see him on the Biden campaign trail.

A dream-pop obscurity from a UK outfit that only released one album:

Skin Games 'The Blood Rush' (1989)

Image

Yearning, soaring pop/rock that comes over as a toughened-up Cocteau Twins.
Partially produced by Steve Hillage and some good, anthemic songs.

Not essential - but nice. :banana-rock:
