Another of those "things I picked up on the off-chance," that is proving to be well worth it. Track 1 is a knockout: Todd Rundgren and Brian Auger end up turning 21st Century Schizoid Man into a great medley.

Time passes, there is growth, progression, a wisdom that comes from experience, youth fades into adulthood.
Sonic Youth 'A Thousand Leaves' (1998)
I don't think I could have liked this album before now. Then I wanted teenage aggression, later I wanted order and precision. Now I want to see where the artist finds themself to be.
The noise-merchants of yore have here evolved into subtle tunesmiths, whose layers of crunchy guitar abuse are tempered into finer filigree and approach a sort of chaotic beauty.
Remarkable.

Love Aerosmith's 1st album (and most of their others up to Pump). Dream On live is awesome.
