I played that yesterday. Some of the lyrics upset John Lennon and prompted his attack on Imagine. I'm not sure if he was having a pop at John and Yoko, if so it was veiled. There was a lot of bad feeling at that time between Paul and the other three and a number of issues.

I am currently playing Bob Market's Legend compilation.

Currently listening in amazement to 'Live 1990' from Curved Air.

Recorded during the reunion of (most of) the original line-up in 1990. The group have a 'phasers on kill' mentality here and the performance is powerful and passionate. Sonja is in exceptionally fine form.

Not sure if this is an official release or a bootleg - it starts off strangely with a hand-held audience cassette version of the opening number and then switches over to a pristine, sound-board recording (apparently the mixing engineer had forgotten to turn the tape on).

Stunning. :character-beavisbutthead:

Ill start again listening to what i listen to yesterday cos in our house i give it up as a bad job sometimes

Up now: Van Der Graaf - The Quiet Zone/The Pleasure Dome. This was the only studio album they made with the shortened Band name. I thought I would never like a Vanders with a Violin player instead of a Sax player, but i was wrong this album turned out to be one of my fav albums of theirs. One live album followed but that would be it for about 27 years down the line. I remember buying this from Virgin store in the early 80's..

After that was Peter Hammil 'Foolsmate'

This was Peters first solo album of the six he made while still in Vanders throughout the 70's. All the VDGG members are present on it including Bob Fripp of King Crimson fame, Fripp would also collaborate on VDGG: 'H To HE' & 'Pawn Hearts' albums..Cover art was by Paul Whitehead who also did Hammils 2nd solo cover Art, the 'H To He' & 'Pawn Hearts as well as the first three Charisma Genesis album artwork..
